About Me

Print

I grew up in a little town called Dunstable. I was the youngest of five. At the age of thirteen I move to a neighboring town called Luton. At the age of sixteen years old, as fate would have it, I met my husband who moved in the house opposite. At eighteen we got married and moved straight down to Eastbourne. We had four boys who are all growing up fast and having families of their own. I regard my husband as my soul mate and have a lot to thank him for. Over the years he has been very supportive in all that I have achieved.

Since a young age I have always been very spiritual. Unfortunately it took the tragic death of my brother in 1997 to seek more answers, which led me on a spiritual journey. I started to go to spiritual churches, reading lots of books and meeting people with the same interest. In 2005 I decide to go back to college, I was working as a carer at the time, because I had left my enrolment late I was told that everything was booked up, but as fate would have it, a tutor offered me a place on a Reflexology course, although I had been told hours early that it was fully booked. When I got home I told my husband who looked shocked, his reply was “you don’t like feet” I told him I would learn to love them, and I did. I enjoyed the course immensely and loved giving Reflexology treatment.

I have learnt over the years that the feet are an amazing part of the body, you can learn so much from them. Then my travels took me to Reiki. I did not know a lot about Reiki at the time, and truly believe in the saying, “Reiki chooses you rather than you choose the Reiki. It’s difficult to explain how things happened with Reiki, but everything just fell into place. I found a lovely lady who done my Reiki 1 intunements, at this time I had no intentions to take it further, then my instincts told me to do Reiki 2. I was offered a place on the cause and took it. At the time I remember the other participants talking about doing the Reiki Master/Teacher degree, and thinking to myself that I didn’t quite feel ready for it, plus I didn’t have the money. As weeks went by I kept thinking about the Reiki master/ teacher degree and one day as I was sorting out some files I came across a cheque, it had been sent to me seven months ago and had been filed away by mistake, it was the exact money that my Reiki Master/Teacher degree cost. I got straight onto the company to see if I was still able to cash it and they said yes.

At the time I didn’t feel ready to teach Reiki but I knew that one day I would. Going thought all the Reiki intunement process was such a wonderful experience that I will never forget. Even giving treatments I and my clients have experience so much over the years. Thanks to a lovely lady that I have met on my journey, who has given me so much encouragement and has opened my eyes even further I am know teaching Reiki. And is very privilege to share the experience with others. I also do Swedish Massage as a treatment which works very well with the Reiki or a treatment on its own.

Wonder where my journey will take me next.
